Características psicológicas e força de ego dos pacientes com uveíte de Behçet comparados a outras uveítes

SUMMARY

In a double blind study the AA compared the psychological characteristics and power of ego of patients with Behçet’s uveitis compared to other uveitis.

The method included psychological interviews and a desiderative test applied in all patients by a psychologist that did not know the specific diagnosis of the uveitis.

All patients had active uveitis and most of them were receiving similar medication. Contrary to what has been published in non controlled studies Behçet’s patients did not present different personality characteristics when compared to patients with other types of uveitis.
