Then street dog eyes underwent 3 mm diameter perforating trephination of the cornea and these holes were sealed with fibrin glue. The result was: a) 7 eyes had no anterior synechia and the glue turned into a white scar and no novascular formation inside it and b) 3 eyes had anterior synechia and new-vessels in the scar at the glued area. All ten anterior chambers were formed and deep. This adhesive, therefore, offers a great potential of use in cases of corneal and scleral perforations uniting collagenic surfaces at the borders of the wound. The incidence of synechias may perhaps be lowered through the use of visco-ellastic substance before gluing the perforated area, re-deepening the anterior chamber of the eye.
