Efeitos da nimodipina na circulação retrobulbar em glaucoma de pressão normal: análise por Doppler colorido

SUMMARY

Colar Doppler imaging (CDI) was employed to investigate the effects of nimodipine on the retrobulbar circulation of twelve patients with normal tension glaucoma. In a crossed, double masked, placebo controlled study, we measured the peak systolic and end diastolic velocities and the vascular resistance index of the ophthalmic, central retinal and short posterior ciliary arteries. Our results suggest that nimodipine does not improve the hemodynamic parameters in normal tension glaucoma patients by CDI analysis.
