SUMMARY

Purpose:

To investigate the photostress test in 15 patients with unilateral diabetic maculopathy.

Methods:

We analyzed the results and the control group using Mann-Whitney test and also the diabetic patients' eyes with and without macular edema using Wilcoxon test.

Results:

We found a statistically significant difference in both tests (p = 0.0000234 by Mann-Whitney test and p = 0.000656 by Wilcoxon test).

Conclusion:

The photostress test is an easy and important step in diabetic maculopathy evaluation and diagnosis
