The study comprises the evaluation of the computerized videokerotoscopic pre- and post-pterygium surgery on 21 patients. The surgery results in an increase in the dioptric value of the intermediate rings. The value of Kl increases significantly after surgery, although this does not happen to K2. An analysis of the cylindrical component showed no significant change. There was a noticeable linear regression of the medium dioptria pre- and post-surgery on horizontal and vertical measurements without any significant angular coeficients. According to the present work, it was concluded that the pterygium provokes topographic changes with refrational repercussion.
